About

Dr Supeetha Suntharamoorthy is a dedicated Oral Medicine Specialist with experience across the full scope of oral medicine, orofacial pain, and sleep related breathing disorders. She prides herself on caring for patients with complex and often longstanding orofacial conditions. Her expertise includes the diagnosis and management of oral mucosal disease, oral manifestations of systemic disease, temporomandibular disorders, sleep related breathing disorders, and chronic orofacial pain. She completed her Dental degree with Honours and Oral Medicine specialist training at the University of Western Australia. Her specialist training encompassed tertiary hospital–based oral medicine, orofacial pain and dental sleep medicine clinics, head and neck oncology services, and multidisciplinary care settings.

She is a Fellow of the Oral Medicine Academy of Australasia, a member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (Oral Medicine stream), a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Orofacial Pain, and a member of the Australian Dental Association. Her research interests centre on chronic oral conditions, and the role of lifestyle factors in orofacial pain. She has contributed to book chapters in orofacial pain and maintains an ongoing interest in research, education, and evidence based clinical practice across oral medicine, orofacial pain, and dental sleep medicine.

Dr Supeetha is known for her calm and empathetic approach, and her practice is guided by a strong focus on patient wellbeing. She recognises that each patient’s experience is unique, providing care that integrates comprehensive assessment, clear communication, evidence-based strategies, and thoughtful consideration of lifestyle factors in the management of chronic conditions.
