About
Associate Professor Omar Kujan is an internationally recognised expert in oral pathology and oral medicine, with a distinguished career dedicated to improving the early detection, diagnosis, and management of oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMDs) and oral cancer. He received his PhD from the University of Manchester, UK, and has worked across the United Kingdom, the Middle East and Australia, he brings over two decades of clinical, academic, and research excellence to his practice. He is a world authority on OPMDs and has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications in the fields of oral cancer, digital pathology, and diagnostic innovation. His research has influenced global diagnostic standards and continues to shape best practices in oral healthcare.
Associate Professor Kujan is the Discipline Lead of Oral Pathology at the University of Western Australia, where he oversees teaching, research, and clinical activities in the discipline. He is actively involved in mentoring the next generation of dental professionals and researchers, while maintaining a strong international presence through keynote lectures, collaborative projects, and global health initiatives. At his specialist clinic, Associate Professor Kujan offers comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients with complex oral conditions, including ulcers, white and red patches, and other mucosal abnormalities.
