Our Lead Clinicians

Dr. Guru O is an enthusiastic Oral Medicine Specialist who graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide in 2012. After graduation, he relocated to Singapore, where he gained extensive experience in various dental roles, both publicly and privately. In 2016, Dr. Guru returned to Adelaide to practice general dentistry before pursuing a Masters in Orofacial Pain at the University of Sydney, which he completed in 2021. He completed is primary dental examination in 2020, earning multiple commendations before moving to Perth to complete his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry at the University of Western Australia, earning his specialty registration.

Dr. Guru's training is comprehensive and diverse. At the Oral Health Centre of Western Australia, he gained valuable experience in the Head and Neck team at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, facial pain multidisciplinary clinics, and rotations in dermatology, rheumatology, immunology, pain medicine, and sleep medicine. He also completed rotations in oral medicine departments interstate, including the Royal Melbourne Dental Hospital and the Westmead Centre for Oral Health.

Dr. Guru has made significant contributions to the field of oral medicine, publishing numerous journal articles and contributing to multiple book chapters on a wide range of topics, including orofacial pain and mucosal diseases. His passion for oral medicine is broad, and he enjoys practicing its full scope.
