Dr Jacinta Vu graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) in 2001. She practiced general dentistry in public as well as private practice, in both rural and metropolitan locations.
Jacinta then went on to complete her specialist training in Oral Medicine, graduating from the University of Sydney with a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Oral Medicine/Oral Pathology). This included clinical placements within various medical and surgical units at Westmead, Liverpool and Royal North Shore Hospitals, including Haematology, Immunology, Dermatology, Orofacial Pain Clinics and Head & Neck Cancer Clinics.
Dr Vu is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (General Stream) and also holds a Membership in the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in the Special Field Stream of Oral Medicine. She is a member of the Australian Dental Association and the Oral Medicine Academy of Australasia.
Jacinta has presented at several continuing education courses nationally, and has had abstracts published in peer-reviewed journals. Her clinical and research interests comprise of mucocutaneous diseases including autoimmune vesiculobullous conditions, potentially malignant disorders, oral cancer and salivary gland dysfunction. Jacinta’s private practice focuses on Oral Diseases, Orofacial Pain and Dental Sleep Medicine.
